Children's Speech and Language Therapy - Makaton
Makaton is a language programme that uses speech, signs (gestures) and symbols (pictures) to support the development of communication and language skills. It is used for indivduals who have cognitive, multisensory and specific language impairments, autism, Down's syndrome and acquired neurological disorders that negatively affected their ability to communicate.
It can also reduce frustration and help you to understand your child's needs.
Courses consist of 4 half-day sessions (usually mornings once a week 9.30-12.30) at a children's centre.
