The Pegasus Scheme
The Pegasus Scheme is a non-emergency service that helps residents who are vulnerable due to age, illness or disability get prompt assistance from the police.
How it works
Persons joining the scheme have details of their vulnerability entered onto the Pegasus database. If in difficulty, they can call the City of London police on 101, give their unique Pegasus PIN number, and tell the operator where they are (at home or elsewhere). A police officer, informed of the vulnerabilities, will be dispatched to the scene and decide which emergency service or partner agency is required (if any).
Please note: in an emergency situation, scheme members should call 999.
