Children's Audiology Service
The Children's Audiology Service works with children and young people who have difficulties concerning their hearing and/or balance.
We offer:
- Hearing tests
- Diagnosis of hearing problems
- Hearing aids (where appropriate)
- Long term follow up care for children with a permanent hearing loss
- Help for children with complex needs
We work closely with relevant services such as speech and language therapy and specialist teachers where necessary.
Children requiring further specialist treatment such as cochlear implants and grommets (used to treat conditions such as ‘glue ear’) may be referred to other services.
