Adfam - Older Carers

Adfam's Older Carers works with people in London aged 55 and over who are affected by the drug or alcohol use of friends or familiy.

We aim to train and empower older carers and to give them the opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people and be part of a befriending scheme and social group where older people help and support each other.

We:

• Hold a monthly peer support group (some with a trained counsellor) 
• Run regular information and skills sessions
• Go on regular trips and excursions

We believe that people affected by a particular issue are often best placed to support others struggling with the same issue.
