Bank of England Museum

The Bank of England Museum tells the story of the Bank of England from its foundation in 1694 to its role today as the United Kingdom's central bank.

Adults and children alike will enjoy the special exhibitions on the Bank’s history and work, featuring fascinating objects from our collections that are not usually on display.

Children will enjoy the events taking place in the Museum during school holidays, from treasure hunts to storytelling.

NEW EVENT!

The Bank of England Museum would like to invite you on 29th May, to their Early Bird Session before it opens to the general public. Children will be able to explore the Museum and engage with our interactive echibits. Event includes but is not limited to:

  • Completing one of our Banknote Dectective trails.
  • Participate in our drawing activity.
  • Quiet room with sensory toys.

The Museum will be open from 8.30am purely for this event, with general access from 10am. You are, of course welcome to stay as long as you want.

We have not stipulated an age-range but it should be suitable for both younger and older children.
